We were commissioned to transform the interiors of this Grade 2 listed building, just beside Shoreditch High Street Station, to accommodate a new bar with an original concept to provide an inviting atmosphere to their clients.  We were involved in all projects stages: from meetings with the client - to ensure the design would respond adequately to their concept- and planning application submission to shop fit-out. We were also involved with protracted negotiations with the local authority due to the Secretary of State involvement in altering the structure with the inclusion of internal walls to protect it from disturbance during the construction of the adjacent bridge leading to the station. The design biggest challenge was to accommodate the layout in such constricted space due to interior walls and limited sunlight.
